Ken Levine’s interview with Playstation Access explains Elizabeth as a character, the complicated theme of Columbia and just how much there is to discover in this interactive world.

Bioshock Infinite

I thought I was done hearing interviews about Bioschock Infinite, at least not until it was a step away from release, but this new interview with game designer Ken Levine at Playstation Access is one filled with interesting information accompanied by new gameplay. Levine covers many topics in this six minutes, but one of the main things he describes is how much more interactive the world of Columbia is. Not only is there just generally a lot to find, explore and do, but each part of the world seems to have been infused with endearing qualities that make it sound like a real city.

My favorite part of this interview comes in the middle when Levine talks about Elizabeth. He has made me believer. They seem to have genuinely made a unique companion who I would be interested in exploring this world with and Levine explained just how she isn’t like most other A.I. companions, ”This is not an A.I. you’ve really seen before. She is not just there as another gun in combat, she isn’t just there to talk to you, she isn’t there to carry stuff for you, she is there to be your partner through this experience.”

Not only does Bioshock Infinite sound like it has some of the excellent features of the first game, but it also seems to have many features and qualities that fans have been dying to experience. Of course, this is probably just hype getting to me and we will have to wait to see how it truly is when it comes out on March 26th. Check out the video interview and let me know what you think of it all.
