Zynga accused of copying indie dev again

Zynga has once again been accused of copying, as Buffalo Studios reckon the upcoming Zynga Bingo is a bit too closely inspired by their game Bingo Blitz.

It’s a moment in time that Spartacus would be proud of – indie developers from all over are standing together as one and saying unanimously “Hey, Zynga, quit copying us!”. The latest developer to accuse Zynga of cloning their game is Buffalo Studios, creators of Bingo Blitz. They reckon the upcoming Zynga Bingo bares more than a passing resemblance to their creation.

The accusations come in in an infographic dripping with sarcasm. “Hello Zynga, we are moved that your new game was so inspired by our innovative product, Bingo Blitz,” it said. “You’ve obviously played our game, a lot, along with over a million other daily active users. Please tell your thousands of employees and shareholders that we hope they enjoy playing the game we’re cooking up next.”

This follows on from NimbleBit‘s infographic (apparently they’re all the rage for delivering sarcastic, accusatory points) that claimed Zynga’s iOS game Dream Heights is a rip-off of their title Tiny Towers.

You can find all the latest Zynga news here, and hopefully it won’t all be about their shameless attempts to copy indie developers.
