3DS game New Love Plus will let players sign up for emails from their in-game girlfriend as well as supply you with printable postcards.

It’s Valentine’s day as many insufferable people keep reminding me, yet this is the only thematic news that has (so far) compelled me to post about it: New Love Plus will allow players to receive emails from their virtual girlfriends, for a monthly fee. I guess it’s something about the paying someone to pretend to love you that strikes a chord with me.
You may not have been following the developments of the 3DS’ own dating simbut this is something I think we can all enjoy. The service is called GMail Girlfriend Mail. For the paltry fee of £2.50 a month you can receive emails to your computer from your in-game girlfriend. She’ll tell you about her day, what little things she’s been getting up to, the minutae of her virtual life.
Plus, for an extra £1.60 you can download tools to allow you to print out pictures of your virtual half.
Here’s the game in action.
The game’s set to release on the 14th February. Oh gosh, that’s today isn’t it? Well get to it you virtual lovers you. You can find the rest of our coverage here.
