You Won’t Play Final Fantasy XIII Until 2010

Have you been waiting patiently to get your hands on the latest installment of the Final Fantasy series and waiting for that 2009 release date to be confirmed?

Bad news for people representing the Western front in gaming, that wait has just became a little bit longer because Square Enix boss Yoichi Wada has said it wont be out until 2010 in the West.

Speaking with Reuters, Wada confirmed that while the Japanese release of Final Fantasy XIII (which is still exclusive to PS3) will take place in 2009, the Western release (due on both PS3 and XBOX 360) wont go down until at least April 2010, or in other words over a year away.
