Here is a round up of what Xbox Live Community Games have been released in the past week:
- Exhaust (400 MS Points): This is a 2D platform game where you have to navigate a monster truck through a range of obstacles to complete each level.
- Chromatism (200 MS Points): This is a 2D flying game in which you have to collect falling blocks by matching their colour with your jetpack, with lives lost for any mistakes made.
- Poker Squares (200 MS Points): This is a puzzle game in which the aim is to make the best 5 card poker hands possible in a 5×5 Grid with hands scored vertically and horizontally.
- Bat-L-Blocks (200 MS Points): This is a variant of Tetris which can be played by up to 4 local players.
- Sudoku-X (200 MS Points): As the name suggests this is a Sudoku game.
- The Perfect Match (400 MS Points): This is a dating themed puzzle trivia game where the aim is to find the best match possible for contestants on a dating show by asking them questions about themselves and each other.
- Toxic (200 MS Points): This is a grid based puzzle game where the aim is to make squares of at least 4 matching blocks before all the blocks are contaminated by toxic waste.
Of this weeks releases, my personal pick is Toxic which while only 3MB in size I found to be really enjoyable and I recommend giving it a try and at only 200 MS Points for the full game it costs less than some dashboard themes.
Other trial games I was impressed with were Poker Squares which while basic was fun to play, and The Perfect Match which I thought was a highly polished product that looked and sounded better than some XBLA games. If you want to try out or buy any of these games you can find them in the Community Games section of the Games Marketplace on the Xbox 360 Dashboard, or follow the links which take you to each games homepage on the web based marketplace.
