USAOPOLY and Blizzard are teaming up to bring World of Warcraft Monopoly and Starcraft RISK to the masses.
Oh Monopoly, how you’ve changed. Gone are the good days of Old Kent Road and Bond Street, replaced with anything that wants to make a bit of money. I remember playing World Cup ’98 Monopoly back when that released, and if football can be monopolised, anything can. Blizzard agree with me, and so World of Warcraft will be getting its very own version of Monopoly.
Premium Azerothian real estate will be the aim of the game, as players try to buy up all of World of Warcraft’s unique locations. The exact locations to feature haven’t been announced, but Ironforge and Orgrimmar will surely be the Park Lane and Mayfair equivalents. I should probably stop referencing UK streets, as sadly the game’s currently only coming out on the other side of the Atlantic.
Risk: Starcraft will be pretty much the same, taking the strategic, land-conquering elements of Risk and sticking them in the Starcraft universe. You’ll play as Teran, Protoss, or Zerg as you try to win the struggle for the galaxy: dice style.
