Action-RPG Two Worlds II is to receive a Game of the Year edition containing: an up-to-date version of the original game, the expansion pack Pirates of the Flying Fortress, plus a host of extra goodies all wrapped up in velvet.

Someone may have to clue me in as to why Topware chose red (console) and black (PC/Mac) velvet to release the Game of the Year edition of Two Worlds II in, but it certainly looks exquisite. It’s a shame the rather elaborate package is for a game that we here at BeefJack thought was pretty average.
Nevertheless, in addition to a multi-lingual and fully updated version of the original game and its upcoming expansion pack, Pirates of the Flying Fortress, the GOTY edition’s extras include: a double-sided world map, a “valuable” pirate head pin collectable, and a bonus disc containing artwork, wallpapers, videos, an extended soundtrack and two player-vs-player maps.
It’ll be available on October 18th for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. There’s no word on pricing so far.

And thus ends the era of the statement ‘Game of the Year Edition’.

I want it. Two Worlds was trash, but II sounds really nice (not great). I think I might pick up this edition. I love special editions, even if they’re not that special, long as the game behind it is.
