News: Naughty Dog have teased an incoming ‘Co-Op Shade Survival’ mode for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, to be delivered as DLC in March.
Naughty Dog used a blog post detailing today’s release of the Uncharted 3 Flashback Map Pack #2 to announce a new co-op mode, due to be added in March.
Little information was given about Co-Op Shade Survival, but we can shave a few clues from the single provided screenshot. Those ghostly enemies resemble (and will most likely act like) the teleporting, fire-throwing Djinn-esque foes that briefly appear near Uncharted 3′s endgame. A Shade can refer to the spirit of a deceased person – could the hundreds of men that have been shot dead or had their necks broken by lovable everyman Nathan Drake be planning a little mysticism-aided revenge?
Eric Monacelli, a strategist at Naughty Dog, had previously hinted at Shade Survival mode only a couple of weeks ago, with a mysterious image of a flaming skull. The developers are promising more substantial details soon.
