Ubisoft: Players are “really hungry” for games like Splinter Cell: Blacklist
Lewis Denby June 29, 2012 - 8:47 amNews: Ubisoft reckon that players are “clamouring” for games like Splinter Cell: Blacklist right now, pointing to “a real renaissance in action-adventure”.

What did you have for breakfast this morning? Frankly, I’m pre-writing this at the start of the day to go live in a little while, so I have no idea what I had, or even if I had it. But what I’d really like right now is a bit of Sam Fisher on toast. Because I’m starving for a bit of sneaky-shooty action-adventure.
“Fans are clamouring for it. They’re really hungry for it,” said Ubisoft Toronto game director Patrick Redding, speaking of experiences along the lines of Fisher’s next outing, Splinter Cell: Blacklist.
“I think something that we’re seeing is there’s been a real renaissance in action-adventure. And I think that we’re able to take a lot of the unique features of the Splinter Cell world and really embrace that opportunity.”
Speaking in a video interview with GameReactor, Redding added: “Players would like to have this kind of taut experience in a realistically rendered world, with a really good storyline, and with a hero who is lethal and efficient whose shoes they can step into. And I think we’ve got all three of those things.”
Actually, now that I think about it, I might indulge in a spot of cereal bathed in the blood of my enemi– no, sorry, that one’s a bit too far.
