Treyarch Claims COD: Black Ops Can Beat Modern Warfare 2

Despite having had one of the biggest launches in the history of gaming, Treyarch Studio Head Josh Olin still believes their latest take on the Call of Duty Formula – Black Ops – still has the potential to beat Modern Warfare 2.

When speaking with MCV, Olin stated:

Modern Warfare 2 is an extremely successful entertainment launch, record selling, which is absolutely phenomenal…Every Call of Duty game has ratcheted the bar up for the next one, and we’re just ratcheting up the bar one step further. I think Black Ops is going to exceed expectations. This game is going to be huge

Before the traumatic Infinity Ward-gate earlier this year, Modern Warfare 2 sold 4.7 million units in the United States and UK in 24 hours alone.

We’re always trying to make the best game we can possibly make, and with Black Ops it really is the best work we’ve ever done

Call of Duty: Black Ops is slated to hit on PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii this November.
