Wonders will never cease. After the abysmal failure of Ride, Shred and the skateboard peripheral, the skating legend may have another game coming.
On Twitter, Tony Hawk has hinted that he’ll be revealing a new game during this weekend’s Spike VGA show. The question remains, who will care?
The last two games in the Tony Hawk franchise didn’t fare very well when Activision were on the big peripheral push and tried to get people to buy plastic skateboards in their living rooms, to go alongside an entire plastic band and DJ sets.
Tony Hawk’s Shred sold even less than DJ Hero and Activision washed their hands of that franchise. Makes me wonder if Activision are even anything to do with this new reveal?

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 remains one of my favourite games of all time, it’s so disappointing to see the series fall so low. A new game that recaptured the fun of the earlier installments would be very welcome indeed, though I’m not going to get my hopes up just yet.
