Tomb Raider survival guide shows a smart, resourceful Lara setting things on fire
Joannes Truyens December 18, 2012 - 7:32 pmCrystal Dynamics have started a new video series for Tomb Raider called “Guide to Survival”, with the first episode focusing on Lara’s smarts and resourcefulness.
Earlier this year, Tomb Raider’s global brand director Karl Stewart stated that the franchise’s penchant for puzzles will be making way for “a smart and resourceful Lara.” That phrasing returns and is the focal point of the first episode in the Guide to Survival, a video series that will “dive into the world of Tomb Raider, exploring the harrowing challenges and decisions Lara faces as she’s forced to survive.”
Episode one shows how the game’s character progression system is based around base camps scattered across the mysterious island. It also delves into some of the weapons she’ll be acquiring and the things she’ll be setting on fire. There’s a lot of that.
