THQ have announced they are working on a trio of Megamind themed games to coincide with the movie (insert groaning sound here).
The movie is set for release November 5th in the US, and will have three separate games across five platforms. Megamind Ultimate Showdown will be released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with the PSP and DS getting Megamind: The Blue and finally the Wii will get the multiplayer focused Megamind: Mega Team Unite.
Ultimate Showdown will be a co-operative action adventure that sees Megamind’s inventions stolen by The Doom Syndicate, and since they are very unstable and definitely untested, Megamind must defend the city from his own devices.
The Blue will again see players taken on the role of Megamind, this time in a more traditional action adventure with blasters and lots of enemies. Finally Mega Team Unite will see four players select from nine characters to create the Mega Team, and will be a brawler that has co-op and competitive multiplayer modes, though exactly what those modes are have yet to be revealed.
No release dates as yet, but with Christmas just around the corner from the film’s release, they’re likely to follow close behind.
