The first gameplay trailer for The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct has been released, and it is in fact the real deal. It’s also been announced that the game will have pre-order DLC bonus that includes a new mode and weapons.

Yes, the below gameplay trailer for The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is real this time. Though, I feel the same way about it as I did with the fake trailer. It looks… bleh. And while graphically the game looks better than the leaked alpha gameplay footage, it still doesn’t look that great. One interesting thing to point out in the new trailer though is that there’s a glimpse of the same level that was shown in the alpha video where there’s an explosion inside what looks like a gas station. There’s even the school bus and everything.

If the trailer has somehow got you craving for the game, then you’ll be pleased to know that pre-ordering the title for the Xbox 360 or PS3 will score you the “Walker Herd Survival Pack.” Available at GAME or GameStop Republic/Ireland, the DLC includes “Herd Mode” where you have to fight off endless waves of walkers. You’ll also get melee weapons including a survival knife, reinforced hatchet, kukri, saw-toothed machete, and an “advanced” machete (whatever that means).

The press release also notes that the extra weapons can only be obtained if you start a new game. So there’s that inconvenient thing to keep in mind.

Survival Instinct will be released in March for the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, and PC.
