The brilliant Spelunky hits XBLA today
Lewis Denby July 4, 2012 - 8:06 amNews: Spelunky, an endlessly replayable platformer that’s hard as nails, releases via XBLA today – and it’s one of the year’s standout indie titles.

If you haven’t heard of Spelunky, then you have lived an unfortunate life. First released for PC a few years back, as a wonderful little freeware title, it’s finally found its way to XBLA – complete with an audiovisual overhaul, added multiplayer, and countless new secrets.
The game’s available from today – and you might have seen it getting exceptional reviews across the web.
You play as a little explorer dude who’s running around a series of caves. Death comes frequently and there’s no option to save – but each time you restart, the world rearranges itself, so you’ll never face the same level twice.
It’s wildly creative, constantly surprising, and a whole load of fun. Our full review will be online in the next few days, but already we’ve no hesitation in suggesting you pick this up. In fact, it’s almost certainly my favourite game of 2012 so far.
