Edmund McMillen’s religion-baiting roguelike will receive the special edition treatment in The Binding of Isaac: Unholy Edition, due for release in March.
The Binding of Isaac is certainly getting more love from its developers than the star does from his mother. An expansion adding “50% more content” is due this year, and now Merge Games have announced they’ll be bringing The Binding of Isaac: Unholy Edition to retail on March 16th.
What’s so unholy about it? Included is a DRM-free copy of the game, a bonus Steam key, OST, a 40-page “devzine” and a frankly horrifying poster of little Isaac doing battle with a fearsome maggot. Naturally.
Read the announcement and gaze upon an extremely photoshopped image of the bundle’s contents over on the Merge Games site. BeefJack reviewer James Pickard certainly enjoyed The Binding of Isaac, giving it an impressive 8.6 in our review. Would you be willing to shell out for the Unholy Edition’s bells and whistles?
