The Banner Saga: Factions’ Yuletide update
Sean Cargle January 4, 2013 - 11:17 amThe strictly multiplayer PC game The Banner Saga: Factions will be releasing for free sometime in the first half of this year and here is one more glimpse into this turn based strategy game.

One of my fellow writers at BeefJack was explaining yesterday how nearly half of his news posts that day had to do with Kickstarters and I’m afraid here is one more, except this is a Kickstarter that has long since ended and will be releasing its first part fairly soon. Banner Saga: Factions is an upcoming release from Stoic Studios and it will feature an entirely multiplayer turn based strategy game, with a few RPG elements. It is all about huge vikings, little vikings, women vikings, horned vikings and just generally tons of vikings, all of which are customize-able and waiting to wail on each-other in this attractive setting.
The last time I wrote about The Banner Saga was to reveal some new gameplay and some news about public beta sign-ups. This time around is to show their newest update, which is also filled with gameplay, but mainly shows just how far all long factions is. Following the release of The Banner Saga: Factions, Stoic Studios will be working on the story based version of The Banner Saga, which is what the Kickstarter was mainly for, and thanks to Factions a lot of the groundwork will already be done, at least for combat and the UI. If you watch this video below and decide that this type of turn based strategy game interests you, well then just go on over to The Banner Saga website and sign on up for the beta. Keep your eyes on BeefJack for more news on The Banner Saga.
