The Banner Saga: Factions news and all new gameplay

News: The Banner Saga: Factions is now accepting beta signs up and with that comes an all new beta video that gives an extensive look at the turn based combat.

The Banner Saga: Factions’ beta has been going for a couple of weeks now and Stoic Studios has been steadily inching the game towards a full release. Factions is a competitive multiplayer game that was made so players can test combat and many of the fundamental aspects of the Banner Saga before the singleplayer campaign is created. Players can customize their soldiers, make specified teams and beat the living crap out of each other. The singleplayer version of The Banner Saga will be coming later in 2013, but for now anyone can sign up for the Factions beta.

This new beta video shows off everything that is in the beta, and a little more that has yet to be introduced, but you can see everything from team customization to combat. Stoic is really trying to create a combat system that looks and seems simple, but has a lot of depth. Look at the video to see exactly what I mean and if you want to get in the beta head on over to the updated The Banner Saga website to sign up. The beta uses Steam and is PC only, but I’m not certain if the full release will be only on those as well.
