Telltale release Walking Dead dev diary

Telltale are starting to talk about their upcoming Walking Dead tie-in game, through the medium of chat show?

Since announcing the game Telltale have been awful quiet about their upcoming Walking Dead title. As PR are want to do we are beginning to see the slow shuffle of details. Though unlike the usual mix of teaser trailers (which no doubt are coming) and dev diaries we’re instead treated to a talk show: Playing Dead.

So, here be episode one in all its embedded goodness:

Hopefully Telltale will have learned a little from the criticism of Jurassic Park and will let the player interact with the world rather than just QTE their way through a movie.

The hint seems to be that whilst the first episode covers events taking place before the comic/series begin that future episodes will run parallel. If that’s the case then Telltale could cannily thread the plots: their survivors arrive somewhere to see the aftermath of something Rick’s group have done, and vice versa. Which could be fun.

The game still doesn’t have an official release date but it’s fair to suspect it will be in the next six months. Click here for more news/coverage of the game.
