Team Meat announce Mew-Genics

Well, it certainly sounds like a Team Meat game. The Super Meat Boy devs have announced their next “official” game will be Mew-Genics, “a game about cats…kinda”. The result of a weekend game jam held to break up development of the iOS port of Super Meat Boy, Mew-Genics has since become a fully-fledged project, though details are thusly scarce. Nonetheless, judging by the creepily unfazed double-headed kitten thing (you can have that an an enemy name, guys), it might well share SMB’s pitch-black sense of humour.
According to designer Edmund McMillen, “Mew-Genics is by far the strangest project I’ve ever worked on.. and that’s saying something.” He adds that random generation will play a part, and that screenshots and further details will arrive “soon.” Will PETA make a parody of this one too? Only time will tell.
