Dishonored has been rightly praised for its coherent and intriguing visual aesthetic. Just take a look at some of the concept art on the official tumblr. What’s even more interesting is how these concepts were faithfully translated into what you see in the actual game. Especially the exaggerated character design, which this developer diary describes as having “a peculiar stylisation and a clear identity.”
That’s why you should definitely go take a look at this post over at ZBrushCentral. Florence Lapalu, who serves as lead 3D character artist over at Arkane Studios, has posted some detailed renders of Dishonored’s cast, including some notables like Piero, Slackjaw and Granny Rags. Yes, Slackjaw has a top hat. How dapper!
