Super Mario Bros. Crossover released
Julian Benson February 9, 2012 - 1:58 pmThe excellent fan made Super Mario Bros. Crossover has been released, finally allowing players to play with characters like Link and Samus in the Mushroom Kingdom.

When I first came across Super Mario Bros. Crossover – the browser-based project that brings characters from Nintendo’s back catalogue into the old Mario games – I dismissed it as a bit of fun. Since playing it I urge you all to have a go. I haven’t played with all the characters yet but just hearing the old Castlevania: Simon’s Quest music has thrown me back to when I was five, sneaking downstairs to play on the NES at 2am.
If you ever owned a NES, have heard tell of games on “cartridges”, or just want to while away an hour or two on a browser-based platformer then for goodness sake go play.
The game features over 800 music tracks, 10 characters, it has special abilities, gamepad support, skinnable graphics, and it’s all free. So, again, go play.
