Stacking coming to PC

James Pickard December 16, 2011 - 2:50 pm

Double Fine’s charming XBLA puzzler, Stacking, will be making its way to PC.

Rock, Paper, Shotgun have made a glorious discovery. During an acceptance video for Stacking nabbing Best Downloadable Game at the Xplay 2011 awards, Double Fine revealed that the Matryoshka doll puzzler will be coming to the PC.

Stacking puts you in control of young Charlie Blackmore, a tiny Russian doll who can jump into bigger dolls to make use of their individual powers. You’ll use their abilities to solve puzzles and track down his siblings, who have been taken by the tyrannical Baron and forced to work as slaves. Puzzles can be solved in a multitude of ways, depending on which other dolls you choose to use, and are wrapped up within the game’s delightful silent move aesthetic.

It’s definitely something you might want to keep an eye on, especially if you enjoyed the developer’s Halloween themed RPG, Costume Quest, which also made the jump from the Xbox LIVE Arcade to PC in October.

As soon as a more concrete release date has been announced, we’ll be sure to let you know.
