Publishers expressing love for properties other than their own may not be an unusual phenomenon, but it’s still good to hear- especially when it’s a publisher as distinctively Eastern as Square Enix having good things to say about a distinctly Western game, such as Heavy Rain.
In an interview with Famitsu, Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada stated that “It would be good if they made more games like Heavy Rain”.
Hardly a confirmation that Square Enix will be making a foray into developing ‘Cinematic’ games which are heavy on Quick Time events, but it’s still good to hear some much needed praise for Quantic Dream’s most recent title.
