Square Enix announces free-to-play Final Fantasy title for mobile devices

News: Square Enix has announced a new Final Fantasy title for mobile devices, called Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade.

Maybe Square Enix is working on Final Fantasy XV while reworking Final Fantasy XIV, but the company’s latest offering isn’t a big title. It’s a social mobile game. Titled Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade, the game is described as “an easy-to-play social game where players cooperate and adventure through a world inspired by the popular Final Fantasy series.”

Unlike Square Enix’s previous mobile games, Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade will be free to download for Android and iOS. Or, you know, as free as social games can be. With the cute style of Theatrhythm and familiar faces from the FF franchise, Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade should keep your FF cravings fed until Square Enix finally brings Final Fantasy Type-0 outside of Japan.

So far the game has only be announced for release in the US and Canada, but we’ll keep you updated right here on BeefJack if we hear any more news.
