Silent Hill: Downpour delay confirmed by publisher
Lewis Denby October 10, 2011 - 9:48 amAfter some online retailers adjusted their Silent Hill: Downpour release dates, the game’s publisher has confirmed the delay to BeefJack, saying the game’s release date will now fall in Q2 2012.

Silent Hill: Downpour looked all set to be released on 4th November 2011, but then a select few online retailers unceremoniously altered their release dates. The German Amazon website now says 15th February 2012, while others say as far back as March. Now, a representative of the game’s publisher has confirmed to BeefJack that release date has been pushed back – and the current release window is “Q2 2012″.
The second quarter of the year would mean anywhere between March and June. Seems Amazon.de’s actually being optimistic.
And perhaps this is a good thing – we went to take a look at the game at last month’s Eurogamer Expo and were a little concerned, given that we thought the game wasn’t far away from release. It needs some work – let’s leave it at that.
