Schafer offers update on Double Fine Adventure

Tim Schafer has given the first update on Kickstarter Double Fine Adventure. It’s now coming to multiple platforms in various languages.

Tim Schafer just can’t stay out of the news at the minute. Following Double Fine Adventure’s incredible opening day on Kickstarter and climb to 1.8 million dollars in funding Schafer has given revealed what all this extra cash has bought. While it was originally just promised for PC, that has now been expanded to Mac, Linux, iOS and Android devices. It’s also going to be translated into French, Italian, German and Spanish. The English version will also be getting a voice cast.

Those that have funded will be invited to a closed beta of the project, but only on Steam. Steam was chosen because they can tightly control who does and doesn’t get access. Once the game is released those that contributed will also receive a DRM-free version.
