A series of job listings has strongly suggested that Ubisoft Quebec will be working on a AAA title for the Wii U, evidence showing that it just may be an MMO.

Emile Gauthier from Ubisoft Quebec tweeted yesterday that “Ubisoft Quebec is working on a NEW AAA MMORPG Game and we need people to fill these very strategic positions.” Following the links leads to Ubisoft’s Facebook page, where a number of listings which include:
- Senior Engine Programmer (Wii U — AAA title)
- Network Programmer (Wii U — AAA title)
- Tools Programmer (AAA MMO)
- Online Game Design Project Manager
- Programmer Gameplay (MMO AAA)
- Animation Art Director (MMO AAA)
Despite this, there may be two different projects in the works, and given Ubisoft’s enthusiasm for the console, I can’t imagine they would be too subtle about anything they are planning for Nintendo’s upcoming hardware – Ubisoft expressed their interest for the console as far back as June, saying that the Wii U’s graphical superiority over the PS3 and Xbox 360 made it a perfect console for the ‘hardcore’ gaming genre.
Don’t get your hopes up for any real info on the console or the games coming for it before E3 2012 – til then BeefJack has all your Wii U news covered.
