Rockstar discuss potential for L.A. Noire sequel

Rockstar fields fan questions regarding a possible L.A. Noire sequel.

Despite Team Bondi, the studio behind L.A. Noire collapsing underneath a slew of staff complaints and loss of faith from its backers, the potential for a sequel to the 2011 hit may not have gone with it. In a Q&A session with fans, Rockstar fielded questions from the fan community over several subjects – but it was when one fan asked whether the game would see any more content in the future, Rockstar replied:

‘While there won’t be any more DLC or additional content for the current release of L.A. Noire (we’re all too busy working on Max Payne 3, GTAV and other games to come), don’t count out the possibility of a new game in the L.A. Noire franchise in the future. We simply have not decided anything. We’re all very pleased with how that game turned out and are considering what the future may hold for L.A. Noire as a series. We don’t always rush to make sequels, but that does not mean we won’t get to them eventually – see Max and Red Dead for evidence of that – we have so many games we want to make and the issue is always one of bandwidth and timing.’

Which is a fair point, really. With their hands full dealing with Max Payne and GTA V (hinted to get a more detailed reveal at this year’s E3 Expo), something as heavyweight as L.A. Noire needs time and preparation to see through to the end.
