News: The dinosaur versus human PC indie multiplayer first person shooter has just been released and it comes with a launch trailer.

Lukewarm Media has just released their unique dinosaur filled first person shooter for PC and it comes with the low price $14.99, but it clearly an indie production due to how focused the initial release is. Rarely do you see competitive multiplayer games released without any kind of objective mode and for some reason Primal Carnage only is being released with team death match, but the developers are clearly in touch with their community since they are already planning for free DLC with more maps and a new objective mode.

Few games have handled dinosaurs well, especially in first person shooters, but with Primal Carnage they have made it so each team needs to work together in order to win each match, even those who like playing the giant T-Rex class, and that is a step in the right direction. The human team is made up of various classes, like the pyromanic, trapper, pathfinder, scientist and commando, all of which handle fairly typically for a first person shooter, while the dinosaur team is much more interesting. You can take the skies with the Pteranodon, move quickly across the ground as a Raptor or devour humans as the powerful T-Rex.

I played the beta a little bit myself and the classes do create some interesting tactics, but I wasn’t sure how much of a life the game would have. Thankfully, Primal Carnage is fairly cheap and the developers are already addressing concerns about more content. There isn’t a demo for Primal Carnage yet, but if you wish to purchase it you can check it out through Steam, GameStop, Rain, Gamersgate and directly through their main website. I leave you with the action packed launch trailer.
