Rift, the new MMO from Trion Worlds, will open 33 “Head Start” servers today for players who have pre-ordered the game, ahead of its full release next week.

Interest in the fantasy MMO has been so strong that over 1 million accounts have already been created, Trion Worlds have announced. Rift is set in the world of Telara, a landscape torn apart by eight primal forces battling for control, where players can choose to join either the noble Guardian or tech/magic Defiant factions and build their own classes with the Ascended Soul system to battle it out on both PvE and PvP servers.

The server list for North America and Europe can be found at the official Rift forums.

Trion Worlds have also released a batch of images illustrating the Bard, BeastMaster, Cabalist and Chloromancer classes in Rift:

You can still pre-order Rift at the official website and the special Founder’s Subscription offer will remain open till March the 15th.

Rift’s full launch will begin in the U.S. on March 1st followed by the UK and Europe on March 4th.
