News: Those who pre-order Black Ops 2 will be able to get the Nuketown 2025 multiplayer map, which is a re-imagining of the original Nuketown from Black Ops 1.

The original Nuketown multiplayer map from Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 was a ‘50s-era mannequin-occupied suburban town meant for nuclear weapon testing. It was one of the more amusing maps, so it’s good to know that it’s returning in Black Ops 2 and getting the remake treatment.

Titled Nuketown 2025, the downloadable map will be available at launch to those who pre-order Black Ops 2. “Now re-imagined in a 60′s depiction of the “Model Home of the Future”, Nuketown 2025 is set to take that familiar close-quarters chaos into the future!”, reads the map’s description on Black Ops 2′s official website. Undoubtedly, there will also be the obligatory mannequins standing around that you can joyfully blow to pieces.

“Multiplayer fans of Call of Duty: Black Ops LOVE Nuketown,” Treyarch’s studio head Mark Lamia said in the press release. “Flat out, Nuketown was a blast to play before, and we’re excited about the re-imagined Nuketown 2025 in Call of Duty: Black Ops II.  We can’t wait to play with everyone come this November.”
