Resident Evil: Revelations offers randomisation and HUNK
James Haresign February 15, 2013 - 8:17 pmIn an attempt to inject some horror back into the franchise, enemy and item locations will be randomised in Resident Evil: Revelations.

Resident Evil: Revelations might be the salvation of the franchise. Capcom have already stated that how the HD remake of the DS game is received could indicate the direct the series takes from now on. Now they’ve taken steps to ensure that the scares aren’t just present for your first playthrough. Enemies can pop up anywhere.
Mike Lunn, Capcom Marketing Bloke, reveals during a gameplay session with Gamespot, “One of the things we’ve really done to make the game a little bit more scarier the more times you play through it is by randomising the position of enemies and items and all that good stuff, so whenever I walk around this corner next time there could be a guy there. You’ll never know.”
I like that, and it’s a clever way of keeping the tension for those people who like to go through their games multiple times. Less reliance on scripting too.
Meanwhile, we also have new footage of the game, though this is from Raid Mode and stars everyone’s favourite HUNK.
