PSN perma-bans begin

Posted February 17, 2011 by Lewis Denby in News.

Yesterday, Sony issued a statement that it would begin to implement permanent PSN bans for those using hacked PlayStation 3 consoles. Today, it seems that process has started.

We’re hearing several reports that naughty users are already being issued with emails, saying that if they don’t get rid of any hacks, cracks or blocks on their systems, they’ll be immediately banned from the service.

Sounds like the company is pretty serious about this. More as we hear it.

  2. Hmm…I wonder just how many of these emails they have, and to what extent they will lay down this law. Not that I’m against it, but more curious what the aftermath of this will be down the line.
