PopCap: Yes, there’s a ‘chance’ we’ll get a Peggle sequel, series has no level creator because of penis issue
Paul Yan September 14, 2012 - 3:28 amNews: In a recent Q&A, PopCap Games’ Jeff Green gave hope that a new installment of Peggle would be made. He also explained that the reason the series doesn’t have a level creator is because of a problem known as “Time To Penis.”

PopCap Games may be hard at work on a sequel to Plants vs. Zombies, but there’s another game people want a sequel to. And that’s the classic puzzle game Peggle. The first game was released in 2007 and a direct sequel titled Peggle Nights came out the following year. But since then there hasn’t been a new, proper Peggle title aside from different versions and ports. So will we be able to get the Extreme Fever all over again?
In a recent Q&A on Raptr, PopCap’s social media, editorial director Jeff Green was asked if there was a chance that a new Peggle game was in the works, to which Green responded “There is a chance, yes. How much of a chance, I can’t tell you.”
Green later added: “We all want more Peggle. … Peggle is my personal favorite, so I agree with you. I’d love to see a sequel. No news at this time though, alas…”.
In other Peggle-related news, Green responded to questions regarding the series getting a level creator. “This idea has been tossed around internally for years,” said Green. “There have been equal camps both pro and con around this idea. The biggest pro, obviously, is more content for everyone, and less work for PopCap.”
However, “The biggest con is what is known in the industry as TTP: Time To Penis. That is, how long would it take for penis level to show up, and then how many would we have to delete every day?”
Ah yes, the problematic, yet hilarious penis phenomenon. I love how the videogame industry has an actual term for this, and while TTP can be an issue, Green added that “at this point, it’s not a dead idea, nor a live one. The discussion continues.
