PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale: ‘Stay tuned’ if you want to know if there will be a Final Fantasy character
Paul Yan August 28, 2012 - 3:49 amNews: PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale game director Omar Kendall said to “stay tuned” when asked if there was going to be a Final Fantasy character in Sony’s upcoming fighting game.

If there’s one PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale character announcement I’ve been waiting for all this time, it’s Final Fantasy VII’s Cloud Strife. He was the first character that popped into my head ever since the existence of PS All-Stars was made known to the world.
For me, Cloud and the Final Fantasy franchise are most synonymous with the PlayStation brand (even more so than Crash Bandicoot), and yet, not one FF character has been announced so far for Sony’s crossover brawler. So what gives? Will there be a FF fighter? Surely there must be.
“You’ll just have to stay tuned,” said PS All-Stars game director Omar Kendall at a Gamescom press presentation. “We haven’t announced a Final Fantasy character yet, but stay tuned.”
While Omar didn’t confirm it, he also didn’t deny it, and as PlayStation Universe notes, whenever SuperBot Entertainment says “stay tuned” it usually means there will be an announcement in the future.
But even without any teasing or coy remarks, we all know a FF character will be in the game and the most likely candidate is Cloud. If he’s not in the game, then I consider PS All-Stars a complete and total failure. It will be the worst game in the history of mankind. OK, I may be exaggerating just a tiny bit there, but not including Cloud is like not including Crash Bandicoot, which we all know is going to be in the game. Right, SuperBot. RIGHT?!
