Gamespot and OnLive have teamed up to bring playable demos to the Gamespot website.
So you just read a raving review for a game on Gamespot but you’re not convinced yet. If only you could try the game… well now you can. GameSpot is working with OnLive to bring 30 minute game demos to the website. This gives us the chance to read the review, then actually try the game. Download OnLive, sign up, and play.
The idea is fantastic, but of course you need to have a stable internet connection. A video from GameSpot shows off how the Borderlands demo performs, and there do seem to be lag spikes. Even with the lag issue, though, this partnership seems to be a great way to supplement the review you just read.
