Plants vs. Zombies gets new mode, levels, achievements [Update]

Plants vs. Zombies 2 may be creeping through our gardens in early 2013, but there’s still some life left in the first game that started it all.
PopCap Games announced earlier today that an iOS update to Plants vs. Zombies has been released. The update includes five new levels, three new achievements, and a new Last Stand Endless mode. The latter is a variation of the classic Endless mode, but with limited amount of sun, which sounds ideal for a vampire like me, but not so great for plants.
Additionally, new mallets are available, which means one thing. Hammer time! (dooo do do do do do dooo do). No, really, you can get the new Hammer Time achievement, as well as the new Still Standing and Stuff of Legends ones as well.

Are they going to release something similar to the PC version?
Sorry, I’m not sure. The press release only mentioned iOS.
