A new iconographic by Column5 and Ignite Game Technologies shows that PC gaming is on the rise and in fact has overtaken console gaming in many aspects. Will PCs soon become the preferred platform for gaming?

The iconographic shows that PC gaming is on the rise: revenue from PC games has already overtaken that of consoles. The projected revenue for next year shows PCs dominating over consoles by nearly $4 billion. The graphic goes on to share many numbers that all point to one thing: PC gaming might soon become the preferred platform for gaming.
In short, PCs are more reliable than consoles, are used for games more often and for longer periods of times, and have a stronger processing power. “Now that PCs have developed better graphics and social qualities,” states the graphic, “gamers may be leaving their PS3s and heading back to the computer chair.” The rise in PC games is surely due in part to downloadable game services like Steam, which Valve says has 35 million active users.
All that may be so but the graphic forgets to take into account the price of a good gaming computer, and the speed at which PC specs become “outdated.” Forget about playing a new game on an old computer – a lot of times you can’t even play an old game on a new computer. But if you have a Wii or a PS3 you can pull up your old GameCube or Playstation game and enjoy.

Headline is screwed up. Either missing a semi colon or ‘are’ should be ‘as’.
