Nintendo has confirmed that the third, and final hotly anticipated Wii RPG, Pandora’s Tower, will be released in Europe on April 13th.
And so the “Wii JRPG Trilogy” (not the actual name, just something I made up) is almost at its conclusion – at least for Europeans – as Nintendo has announced that Pandora’s Tower will be available on April 13th.
Alongside Xenoblade Chronicles and upcoming Sakaguchi title, The Last Story, Pandora’s Tower forms the three intriguing Wii RPGs from the East, marking a somewhat exciting end to the console’s life cycle.
In it, you play as the soldier, Aeron, who must battle through the towers of a nearby fortress, harvesting the meat of demons inside to feed to his close friend, Elena. If you think that’s a bit strange, don’t worry, she doesn’t just have an odd taste in food, but requires the demon flesh to be cured of a curse that will turn her into one of the very same demonic creatures.
Pandora’s Tower also boasts an in depth relationship system between yourself and Elena, as you’ll have to decide how often you return to her with meat to stave off the curse, or risk her changing form. “Taking the time to build a bond with Elena could even change the ultimate ending of the story,” Nintendo states.
It’s already garnered a number of decent reviews in Japan, so it won’t be long until we find out just how good it is for ourselves.
