As we hit the run-up to next month’s highly anticipated Dead Rising 2, XBLA-exclusive prologue game Case Zero has been released. It’s available through the Xbox Live Marketplace right now, for 400 Microsoft Points.
Case Zero provides a first taste of Dead Rising 2′s combo weapons and ‘psycho’ boss fights. Character attributes collected in the prologue will also carry over into the main game. A cheeky method of getting the more competitive types to shell out a bit more money? Most likely. But y’know. People will.
Dead Rising 2 is scheduled for release across Europe for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on September 24th, and – for some bizarre reason – PC on the 28th. In North America all formats will be released on the 28th, while those in Japan will have to wait ’til the 30th.
