Old concept art for Half-Life 2: Episode 3 turned up
Joannes Truyens June 27, 2012 - 4:19 pmNews: Some four-year-old concept art for Half-Life 2: Episode 3 has turned up via an anonymous source.

At this point it’s not even certain whether Half-Life 2: Episode 3 is even a thing. Everyone seems convinced that whatever it would bring, its concent has been rolled into the mythical Half-Life 3. Valve Software remain as coy as ever when it comes to the hotly anticipated non-game. But fear not! Some concept art that dates back to 2008 has surfaced, revealing where the cliffhanger ending of Episode 2 will lead.
Sent to fansite ValveTime by an anonymous source, the concept art primarily includes a few snowbound landscapes and various outfits for Alyx Vance, including one that has her wearing her father’s jacket. A crashed helicopter features prominently, which is the same one that Gordon and Alyx were about to fly out to meet Judith Mossman at the arctic project she salvaged from the Combine.
Also a few Combine Advisors on acid. Check out the images in this Facebook album. ValveTime asserts that they are 100% genuine, otherwise “they wouldn’t post them.” Their site is already down from the sudden glut of traffic.
It all seems legit, but it’s probably nowhere near indicative of what Valve are doing with the next entry in the Half-Life franchise now. The developer is known for getting rid of everything and starting over, but this is still a neat little insight.
If anything else that even remotely hints at Half-Life 3 turns up, you’ll find it here at BeefJack! Seriously, right now we’ll take a cloud in the shape of a crowbar.
