Oddworld On Hold

Lorne Lanning has been talking to G4TV about the future of the Oddworld franchise, after years of speculation, as to whether there would be a new game any time soon. The only good news for fans of the series is that the previous games will be coming to Steam later this year.
If you’re looking for a new title however, Lanning had this to say:
“There’s a lot of things on the shelf right now. We had a few on the fire, and they’re still on the shelf…there’s a lot of shakeup going on [in the gaming industry] and in that turmoil, we didn’t really want to put the Oddworld brand out there in the middle of it, so we’re working on some other things that we’ll be announcing shortly.”
So a new Oddworld is not completely shelved. Though what the other IPs could be have yet to be announced.
