As a result of Facebook’s ban of notifications on Apple apps for Facebook games, the following for said games has decreased in number. It has taken only four short weeks for the decrease to register. In that time 4.4 million have stopped playing Farmville; a staggering number.
Farmville was not the only Facebook game victim however, with over three quarters of the top 25 Facebook games being affected.
This is a shame seeing as Facebook games were in their peak in terms of player numbers. Will budding developers still turn to Facebook for an entry into the industry?
