News: Sydney-based developer Nnooo first Australian Wii U developer approved by Nintendo.

Australian company Nnooo is the first Nintendo approved Wii U developer. Speaking to Develop, Nnooo creative director Nic Watt said the studio was “Thrilled to receive developer approval for this exciting new console”. He said “We’ve already had a quick play with the hardware and everyone in the studio is super impressed by the GamePad and the capabilities of the Wii U itself.”

Nnoo is best known for their 2008 Wiiware and iPhone game, Pop. The studio has other games soon to be released. Spirit Hunters Inc,  a DSiWare AR game, is expected by the end of this year. EscapeVektor is due out for the 3DS and PlayStation Vita also this year. “We’ll be showcasing the games at Gamescom in Cologne in the middle of August” confirmed Watt.
