New patch for PS3 promises security updates

Robbie Palmer February 1, 2011 - 3:11 pm

Everyone’s fully aware how serious the hacker situation is on the PlayStation 3, even Sony. The official PlayStation blog informs users that a new system update will be released soon, version 3.56.

The update according to Sony employee Eric Lempel is a “Minor update that adds a security patch”.

Perfect, so I have to wait another 15 minutes before I can start up any games tonight. I’m so happy that at least Sony can get rid of the evil monster hackers.

When the continuous patching of games end?
