New Halo 4 details come out of Microsoft retailer quiz

News: A deluge of new Halo 4 information has been released to retailers by Microsoft and, of course, it’s leaked to the general public.

Microsoft has a special site for retailers, ExpertZone, that’s meant to show retailers about their upcoming titles. A quiz released to teach them about Halo 4 gives some tantalising new info too. According to The Little English Halo Blog the news covers most aspects of the game, from weapons to co-op, and maybe even clan support.

It’s confirmed that there are ten new weapons and two new vehicles added. We saw two of the new guns in the E3 trailer, and I expect the majority of them are going to be Promethean analogues like we have with the Covenant and human weapons already.

On the War Games front (aka multiplayer) they confirm the game will launch with ten maps and more will arrive with DLC and some new modes will be in the offing too. There’s also the line “improved support to create, organise and track groups” which looks to confirm Halo will finally have clan support.

Then there’s Spartan Ops, the co-op section, which is confirmed to have five new missions every week during the course of a season. Each season will be ten weeks long, so that’s fifty new missions, which is pretty damn impressive. The first season is completely free, which sounds like they’re going to start charging after that.
