Film and TV streaming service, Netflix, is coming to the UK and Ireland in early 2012 across a range of electronic devices.
Netflix, the movie/TV rental giant in the US, will be bringing its streaming services to the UK and Ireland at the start of next next.
The company announced that it would be launching the service on PCs, Macs, tablets, mobile phones and on TVs through “a range of consumer electronics devices capable of streaming.” No specific devices were mentioned, but considering the success of Netflix streaming on the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii in the US, it’s not unreasonable to assume the company will be looking to bring it to consoles across the Atlantic too.
Lovefilm already offer a similar service on PS3s in the UK, which will be arriving on Xbox 360s before the year is out too alongside a load of other entertainment providers.
We’ll bring you the latest Netflix news as soon as we hear it at BeefJack.
