Mojam taking place tomorrow with guest developers taking part and inspiration required
Michael Johnson February 19, 2013 - 5:30 pmMojang; better known as the indie developers who could afford to build a device to block out the sun, are hosting a games jam.
As stated in a post over at their official website, Minecraft creators Mojang are hosting Mojam, a gaming jam where “Mojang will be split into teams, and each of those teams will create a game inspired by you” with special guests including Vlambeer (creators of Super Crate Box) and Wolfire Games (behind rabbit fighting game Overgrown).
In terms of inspiration, a short survey has been set up and we’re asked to pick two words to help inspire their game concepts. Each team will have from 6pm CEST tomorrow until midnight on Saturday to create their game, with a livestream dedicated to showcasing their progress.
In terms of inspiration, I chose Nuclear Pterodactyl, though it was a close-call between that and Endless Toboggan. I’m sure you are all capable of coming up with better suggestions than those though!
If you’re interested in playing the fruits of Mojang and co’s labour they’ll be asking for a donation for one of two charities: Block by Block and the EFF.
Check out the post over at the offical Mojang site and keep your browser pointed at BeefJack for more on Mojang.
