Minecraft, the indie smash hit from Mojang, will most likely get its world height increased – that’s according to new project lead Jens Bergensten.

Ever gazed longingly into the sky of Minecraft and though, wistfully, ‘I wish the sky were ever-so-slightly higher’? If you have, then I bring good news: it looks like your dreams will come true.
Jens Bergensten, the man trusted by Notch to take over the Minecraft reigns, says it’s looking likely that this will happen in a future update. “Default world height is likely to be increased in the future,” he wrote on Twitter, also posting the image you see above.
Could it be something to do with the upcoming Sky Dimension?
Seems people are happy with this: a collection of responses sounded rather excited, anyway.
“Pleasepleaseplease, increase it NOW to the next build ^__^,” screeched Timu Nebur, while Andrew McLusky added: “Then we can make even HIGHER jungle trees!!!”
Minecraft was one of the best games of 2011, even though it was first released before that. When version 1.0 finally hit, we threw a nine and a five at it as hard as we could, so they stuck to its fleshy flesh, branding it with a 9.5 out of 10 score forever more. Bravo, Minecraft!
